The University Grants Commission (UGC) has allowed universities to offer around 40 percent of courses per semester online to the students through the SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) application. UGC’s new regulations called ‘Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds Regulations, 2021’ will allow universities across the country to offer 40 percent of all courses in a programme online via the SWAYAM platform.
