New norms for architectural education released by COA

The Council of Architecture released the new norms for architectural education on their website stating that B. Arch students can exit the program after three years and get the ‘appropriate degree’. This is stipulated as the ‘ Minimum Standard of Architectural Education’. The new set of rules and regulations have introduced a choice based credit system and practical training in the eight and ninth semester of the architecture program. There shall be more study tours to historic and cultural sites to improve practical learning and norms for exchange programs between international and national students have been introduced as well. The new COA regulations have been designed in accordance with the new NEP 2020.
